Nepali pashmina — fine Himalayan cashmere, a high-value fashion export. Markets and how to ship.
Pashmina is woven from the fine undercoat of the Himalayan mountain goat (Chyangra). Nepal protects authentic product under the Chyangra Pashmina trademark/GI. It is a high-value, low-volume export (one of the highest $/kg in Nepal's basket).
France, Germany, the US, China and Switzerland lead — fashion and luxury buyers. Authenticity matters: the Chyangra Pashmina mark separates genuine Nepali pashmina from cheaper blends and is a selling point in Western markets.
